We have been pleased to help three families move into Habitat for Humanity homes over the last five years. All three of our homes were built for families in Toledo. We have appreciated being able to join in hands-on ministry with First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, Ohio for all three of our builds. Sylvania United Church of Christ, which has engaged in over ten building projects, joined us this past summer and we valued their presence as well. In addition to the contributions from our three congregations, we also received financial support from the Ottawa Community Development Commission. Over 100 volunteers participated on each of our building projects. Our members have enjoyed giving of their time and talent to build homes for deserving families. We are grateful for the guidance and support of Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity.

2009 Friendship Build

Several of our members gave their time and talents to build a new Habitat for Humanity home for an Oregon, Ohio family. We joined members from Sylvania United Church of Christ, St. Michael’s in the Hills, the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, and Masjid Saad to complete the build. This interfaith build gave us a wonderful opportunity to develop some new friendships. The Home Dedication was Saturday, August 15th.
