David LaMotte: Oct. 7, 2017
It’s hard to make ends meet through the end of the month. Some people find themselves making a choice between feeding their family and paying their bills. Every Monday, a warm and hearty meal will be served to all those who come to the corner at Sylvania and Talmadge (Christ Presbyterian Church). This caring ministry seeks to help those in our neighborhood and beyond.
Meals will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The corner is easily accessible by bus route 39/39M at the Westfield Mall at Franklin Park or you can call TARTA at 419-243-RIDE (7433).
David LaMotte is an entertaining presenter, weaving humor and engaging stories into his presentations, and breaking what seem like impossibly big problems down into bite-size pieces. His two and a half decades on stage as a musician have honed his skill in connecting with audiences. Attendees report leaving his presentations feeling validated and encouraged as well as challenged. He encourages people to engage with the world around them and address the problems they see, and he methodically builds a case for both our capacity and responsibility to make a difference.
