The Chancel Choir sings a variety of music (traditional, spiritual, etc.) and welcomes new singers.
Our Chancel Choir, which sings at our 10:00 a.m. service, is open to interested singers. Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Pitch-matching and a desire to sing God's praises are required. (As well as enjoying some great fellowship!) We sing a variety of music (sacred, classical, spirituals, etc.) each week; we also present special services of music during Advent, Christmas, and Holy Week. The Chancel Choir occasionally joins with other local church choirs for sacred choral music festivals.
Our Children's Choir (grades K-5) rehearses on Sundays in the Music Room from 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Our practices consist of singing, games and activities that teach various music and pitch-matching skills, and occasionally playing instruments. The children will usually sing on the first Sunday of each month at our single 10:00 a.m. service. Children who attend either the Contemporary or the Traditional Service are welcome to join us.
Our Adult Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. Basic music reading skills are recommended and previous ringing experience is helpful, but not necessary. This ensemble plays at our 10:00 a.m. worship service about once a month. Introductory instruction for beginning ringers is available. Interested ringers should contact Mark Mathias.
